Merchant Spotlight: Teniola Idowu ✨
Hello Teniola, it’s good to have you here. Let’s meet you and tell us about your business
I’m Teniola Idowu. I make urban fit wears ranging from cargo pants, hoodies, sweatshirts, jackets, sweat pants, shorts, and many more
How long have you been running your business?
This is my 2nd year in the business
Describe a major highlight of your business.
When my design was showcased on a runway show, it was actually the best day of my life, and when I made cloth in bulk for a company and they loved it.
What do you enjoy most about being an entrepreneur?
The flexibility. I have a 9-5 job and I’m comfortable doing it with my business with no interactions whatsoever.
What are some of the challenges you’ve faced or still face since you started?
When customers still doubt me after sending a lot of proof that I’m not a scam.
It’s always very annoying
How do you deal with these challenges?
Got my business registered and most of my customers are through referrals so they know I’m legit.
How did you hear about Catlog and why did you decide to sign up?
My boyfriend saw it on Twitter and told me to try it and I liked it because customers will just click on the link and see all my products.
How has Catlog helped your business?
I’ve been able to add it to my Instagram and Twitter bio, and even with that I feel I’ve gained customers’ trust
What is your favorite feature?
What features would you like to see?
On a scale of 1 to 10, how likely are you to recommend Catlog to a seller?
Are there business owners that you look up to?
Hmmm, Yeah. Habit brand on Instagram
One piece of advice to business owners and aspiring ones
Nothing beats consistency
If a buyer doesn't buy today, he will definitely buy someday. Just keep putting yourself out there and showing up CONSISTENTLY!!
Don't be sad about the turnouts. Give value over and over again.
The key point here is to be consistent and continue to give value over and over again.
